Drainage + Site Work

Drainage solutions and
grading in Scott County.

Drainage problems show up as soggy lawn, water in the basement, ice patches on the walk, and erosion at downspouts. Our crews diagnose the source, design a solution that fits the property, and install french drains, surface drains, and grading work that sends water where it belongs.

Most fixes are invisible once finished. The lawn looks the same, the patio looks the same, the basement just stays dry.

Water always wins. The trick is giving it the path you choose, not the one it picks for itself.

01

French Drain Installation

A french drain is a perforated pipe set in a gravel trench wrapped in filter fabric. Surface and subsurface water collects in the trench, enters the pipe, and gets carried to a daylight outlet, dry well, or storm connection well away from the house.

Sized correctly and pitched correctly, a french drain handles years of seasonal rain and snowmelt without maintenance. We map the wettest spots, plan the discharge route, and finish the surface so the lawn or bed looks the way it did before the work.

  • Properly sized perforated pipe and gravel trench
  • Daylight, dry well, or storm discharge
  • Filter fabric to prevent soil intrusion
  • Surface restored after install
02

Drainage Correction

Some properties need more than a single drain line. Drainage correction projects combine surface grading, downspout extensions, catch basins, swales, and dry creek beds to manage water across an entire yard.

Each plan starts with a walk in the rain when possible, or a careful read of low spots, watermarks, and existing wet patterns. The goal is a property that sheds water cleanly with no surprises after a heavy storm.

  • Surface grading combined with subsurface drains
  • Swales and dry creek beds for surface flow
  • Downspout extensions and catch basins
  • Diagnosed from real site conditions
03

Site Grading

Grading work shapes the land so water moves the right way and the lawn lays the way it should. New construction grading, regrading after additions, and repairing settled areas around foundations all fall in this category.

Crews bring laser levels and the right machines to set finish grades cleanly. Topsoil is replaced and the surface is finished ready for sod or seed.

  • Laser leveled finish grades
  • Topsoil replacement and finish prep
  • Foundation slope correction
  • Ready for sod, seed, or hydroseeding
04

Erosion Control

Slopes, lake banks, and ditches that lose soil need erosion control that fits the site. Solutions range from seed blankets and coir logs on gentle slopes to riprap stone, terraced retaining walls, and engineered solutions on steeper banks.

Native plantings stitch into the work to lock soil long term. The result holds the line and looks like part of the landscape, not a patch.

  • Seed blankets, coir logs, and riprap stone
  • Native plantings for long term soil hold
  • Terraced solutions for steep slopes
  • Built to blend into the existing landscape
